Eye Contact for Connection

It's always important to try to get eye contact with the subject, no matter whether it's sports, portraits, kids. With eye contact, there is a connection with the subject that draws you into the photograph. With posing the subject, you are in control, but in a sport/action photograph, it's all timing. Sure, you will be told you were just lucky, but your "luck" improves with experience and timing.
